From the Guidance Counsellor’s Desk
The Guidance Counsellor with the support of faculty members, work on developing the students’ personal, social and academic areas as these are pertinent in the all-round development of each individual. One on one and group counselling sessions are conducted. Students are guided very closely in their college application process upon completion of their A Levels. We focus on recommending the right degrees and institutions, preparing applications with a balance of academics, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for college/university placements.
After A Levels, some students pursue their undergraduate studies in Nepal at reputed colleges affiliated to the Tribhuvan University (TU), Pokhara University (PU) and the Kathmandu University (KU), undertaking the MBBS, engineering, humanities and management courses. Other students opt to study abroad. Many have got placements in renowned colleges and universities all around the world, namely in Abu Dhabi, Australia, China, Germany, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
Our students have been the recipients of many Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards. These are awards issued by Cambridge, the United Kingdom as recognition of the exceptional leaner achievement in the Cambridge examinations around the world.
One of our recent Cambridge award recipients is Simeel Angdembe who is a world topper in the General Paper (English) and country topper in Physics, Biology and Mathematics. He is currently pursuing his undergraduate studies at Princeton University, an Ivy League university in the US, on full scholarship. Another of our Cambridge outstanding achiever is Bishnu Dev who is our country topper in Chemistry and Computer Science. He is pursuing his studies at the renowned New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) on full scholarship. Besides, we have Sarhana Adhikari who is pursuing her studies at NYUAD on full scholarship. There are many other students who have achieved well and are continuing to excel in their respective subjects in their respective colleges/universities.
At Kaasthamandap our wish is to see our students grow into productive, confident and well-adjusted adults of tomorrow.
